EU regulators are considering new rules that will require Apple to give iPhone developers access to rival payment apps such as PayPal (PYPL) and Google Pay, Vestager told Bloomberg.

The European Commission; the European Union’s (EU) governing body is investigating Apple Pay.

The Commission is investigating Apple’s (AAPL) practice of requiring app developers to accept Apple Pay, EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager has told Bloomberg News. Apple Pay is party of the Commission’s antitrust investigation of Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL).

EU regulators are considering new rules that will require Apple to give iPhone developers access to rival payment apps such as PayPal (PYPL) and Google Pay, Vestager told Bloomberg.

Apple Pay in Israel

Apple Pay is now live in Israel, 9to5Mac reports. All Israeli banks will support Apple Pay, 9to5Mac claims.

 

However, many Israeli credit cards will not support Apple Pay. Thus, Apple Pay is now available in most countries.
